This policy explains how Selling Point Ltd t/a Nixon Safety ("we", "us") collects and uses personal information when you use nixonsafety.co.uk, buy from us, or contact us. We are the data controller for this information.

Selling Point Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 14045267. Registered office: 1 Meadlake Place, Thorpe Lea Road, Egham TW20 8HE.

What we collect

  • Contact details: your name, company name, email address, phone number, and billing and delivery addresses.
  • Order details: what you bought, prices paid, and any logo or artwork you send us for personalised items.
  • Payment details: payments are handled by our payment providers. We don't see or store your full card number.
  • Trade account details: business information you give us when you apply for a trade account or credit terms.
  • Messages: emails, calls, form submissions and reviews you send us.
  • Website use: your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and items added to your basket, collected through cookies and similar technology.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only where we need to, with:

  • Shopify, which runs our online shop and checkout, and our payment providers
  • Suppliers and manufacturers who send your order direct to you. They receive your name, delivery address and phone number so they can deliver it.
  • Couriers and delivery companies
  • Our accounting and order management software provider, Zoho
  • Our email and text marketing provider, if you've signed up to hear from us
  • Advertising and analytics services, such as Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok, where you've accepted cookies
  • Review services, if we invite you to review an order
  • Our accountants and professional advisers, and the authorities where the law requires it

Some of these providers store data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep order and accounting records for 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as UK tax law requires. We keep marketing details until you unsubscribe. Other information is deleted when we no longer need it.

Marketing

You can stop marketing emails by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email, and texts by replying STOP. You can also email us. We'll still send messages about your orders.

Cookies

We use cookies that the site needs to work, such as keeping items in your basket. With your consent, we also use analytics and advertising cookies. You can change your choice through the cookie banner or your browser settings.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong
  • ask us to delete your information, or to stop or limit using it, in some circumstances
  • object to us using your information for our legitimate interests or for marketing
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it
  • ask us to transfer your information to you or another company

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if we change how we use personal information. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
