Black self-amalgamating tape from Krimpterm for sealing and insulating joints. It is available in 4 sizes: 19mm x 5m, 19mm x 10m, 25mm x 10m and 50mm x 10m.
The tape has no adhesive. It is stretched as it is wound on and the layers fuse together into one solid, watertight wrap. Electricians use it to seal outdoor cable joints and connectors, and it is also used on aerial and coax connections and for emergency hose and pipe repairs.
Remove the liner, stretch the tape and overlap each turn by about half its width. The 19mm rolls suit single cables and connectors. The 25mm and 50mm rolls are better for larger joints. The tape is halogen free and REACH and RoHS compliant.
