Frequently Asked Questions

What certifications does the FR507 carry?

The FR507 is independently certified (Aitex, cert 26/09725/00/0161/B) to EN ISO 11612 (A1+A2, B1, C1, F1) for heat and flame, EN ISO 11611 Class 1 (A1+A2) for welding, EN 1149-5 for antistatic protection, EN 61482-1-1 and EN 61482-1-2 APC 1 for arc flash, EN 13034 Type 6 for limited chemical splash, and EN ISO 20471 Class 3 for high visibility.

Is the FR507 arc-flash rated?

Yes. It's rated ELIM 6.4 cal/cm² and EBT 6.8 cal/cm² under EN 61482-1-1, and holds APC 1 under EN 61482-1-2. Check this against your site's arc flash risk assessment before use.

Can I wear the FR507 for welding?

Yes, within its rated class. The FR507 is certified to EN ISO 11611 Class 1 (A1+A2), covering less hazardous welding situations, such as lower spatter and radiant heat exposure, than Class 2.

Is the FR507 waterproof?

No EN 343 weather rating is recorded for the FR507 in our certification data. It's designed as a hi-vis FR work coverall rather than a wet-weather garment.

What high-vis class is the FR507?

It's certified to EN ISO 20471 Class 3, the highest class under that standard, giving the greatest area of high visibility material for both colourways.

How should I wash and care for the FR507 to keep its FR protection?

Follow the care label sewn into the garment and avoid fabric softener and bleach based products, which can degrade flame resistant fibres over time. The FR protection is built into the fabric itself, so it won't wash out, but retire the coverall if it's visibly damaged or fails a wash care check.
